The team at Harvey Labels set off on their adventure of a life time to the Big Apple this past Tuesday. Here is what they got up to on the first two days in the lead up to their debut at New York Fashion Week!
Day One:

The first day in NYC started out by catching the subway to Christopher Street and strolling through the beautiful leafy Greenwich, where they ran into Carrie Bradshaw's infamous apartment from Sex in the City in the West Village! After walking the surrounding streets and window shopping, a stop at Amelia's Diner was a must - bagels and iced lattes all round!
With tummies full classic New York cuisine they met up with fellow Adelaidian photographer, Georgina Solomon of Lasska to scout locations for Harvey the Label's campaign shoot scheduled for Sunday. A few last minute things were gathered in preparation for the runway show whilst strolling through Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho and Broadway.
Refreshing matcha at Cha Cha Matcha was followed by a surprise discovery; the Depop pop up concept store. The lovely @sarahfromnewyork discussed the new concept stores while playing tour guide to the magical space.
There was never any doubt the Harvey Team would end up at at Mimi Cheng's for dumplings - day one lunch sorted, YUM! Public Hotel was stumbled upon after dumplings which had the most amazing escalators, follow @harveythelabel stories for videos and pics.
After a long day, they ventured to Tom and Jerry's Bar for beer and to debrief about the day. Seamore's restaurant was next, where burgers, oysters and poke were enjoyed. Their exciting and adventurous day was concluded back at the apartment where Mim and Georgia sat down on the lounge room floor and refined the looks for the NYFW show.
Day Two:
First thing on the agenda: fittings. Here is where Harvey the Label met the teams behind Jagger and Stone, Saski Collection, Bronx and Banco, and The Blonde Republic. They also met the Fashion Palette team and Riviere Agency team who are running the show.
Looks were sorted through with each model then refined in the preparation for the runway show tomorrow. Between the fittings and models arriving - food! Mim, Georgia, Sapphiroula and Nick from The Blonde Republic decided to grab some burgers at Tic Toc Diner. After indulging in more New York delicacies they traveled back to organise final looks. A New York cab ride, just like in the movies, transported the team, and pieces from the new collection to influencers so they can wear it to the show!
As of right now, the team are sitting in their amazing apartment doing admin duties and prep for tomorrow's runway show starting at 3pm New York time! If you would like to tune in to watch the runway show live, Fashion Palette will be streaming it on their Instagram @fashionpalette at 4:30am South Australian time, Saturday 8th September.
