Weekends are the best time to catch up with friends and family, but it can often be a costly endeavour. Staying in is the obvious way to stay within budget, but with winter fast approaching, why not take advantage of the last few weekends of sun. We've found some of the best activities for your weekend, while still on a budget.

Mt Lofty
Soak up the last of the sun while hiking the Mt lofty trail, then treat yourself to a coffee or glass of wine at the top. The hike itself is 7.5 km return, which is about 3 hours walking. When you reach the top, relax in the Summit Cafe and enjoy the view. Fun, active, cheap and the perfect opportunity for a #fitspo post on the gram!

Winter can be tough on your feet, so show them a little love and get yourself a pedicure. Bring a girlfriend with you for a fun girls day out.
