As much as we love our chocolate advent calendars here at Harvey, we can't help but want a little something extra each day leading up to Christmas. I personally crave multiple each year, saving every coin I can find in order to snag an extra calendar or two, despite the giggles from my friends, and my vanity table having no space to actually get ready at. Here is my summary of the best of the best, the ones I'm thinking of picking up, and the ones I dream to buy after I win the lottery (looking at you, Diptyque).
FOOD & DRINK
Woolworths has supplied the Ilchester "Cheesemas" advent calendar this year and we feel it's just perfect for the cheese lover, or someone who is interested in sampling some new varieties without the commitment of buying a whole block. While it's only 12 days, we cannot wait to give it a try.
For those of us aged 18+, do we have a treat for you! Available via Dan Murphy's we have found the annual White Possum Australian Gin advent calendar which showcases 25 gins from all over the country.
One calendar I try to get every year (before it sells out - it's sought after) is the Kiehl's skincare advent calendar. We love this one for its value for money and that you can sample a wide range of Kiehl's products without having to purchase so many products.
If you're feeling particularly opulent, the Yves Saint Laurent Holiday Advent Calendar is perfect for you. Available at Myer, this calendar features adorable minis of YSL's most coveted beauty products, this gorgeous calendar is perfect for those of us in the #TreatYourself mood.
I don't know about you, but I have never once been able to finish a bottle of nail polish and that is where this advent calendar comes in. Available via Mecca, the Ciate London Mini Mani Month gives you 22 mini nail polishes, along with one full sized polish and a nail file.
Available at David Jones, is the Clarins 12 day advent calendar. This luxury skincare calendar features our all time favourite lip oil among many of their other incredible skincare products.
Now this is one advent calendar I can only dream of picking up. Mecca has again allowed us to pick up the annual Diptyque Advent Calendar here in Australia and as always, my eyes water when I see the price tag. There is no denying the sheer luxury of these candles and how decadent the scents are. Although I do love to spoil myself and my friends/family with their candles on occasion, I have not (yet) won the lottery, and until then, I can only dream of having this sit in my lounge room for me to open each day leading up to Christmas.
We at Harvey love our comfy socks and why not make them fun? This is why we are so happy to find the Happy Socks advent calendar this year! Despite the heat, I love to walk around the house in a pair of socks, and Happy Socks continue to provide us with pairs that are cute and fun. Plus this advent calendar can be purchased for both girls and guys, we are sold!
T2 has released the Christmas Countdown Teabags advent calendar featuring 24 of their teas ready to be placed into your daily cuppa. We feel this is perfect for a new tea drinker to discover what flavours they like, or the seasoned tea drinker wanting to expand their horizons, and we feel their is no better way to try.
