Posted on

Girls, it’s time to retire your flower crowns.

Listen Out 2018 is upon us, and we’ve got your covered with 5 easy, Instagram-worthy hairstyles to rock at this year’s festival.

GLITTER ROOTS

Who doesn’t love a bit of glitter? The beauty of it is that you can go as crazy or as simple as you want. At this year’s splendour, we dare you to go beyond the norm, and experiment with glitter roots. Initially emerging in 2015, we’ve been seeing this trend popping up in abundance at this year’s most popular festivals, and we’re totally on board. Plus, they’re a great way of hiding those gnarly roots on bad hair days!

HALF-UP, HALF-DOWN

From the catwalk to Coachella, the half-up, half-down look is classic, chic and perfect for festivals (and takes no longer than 10 minutes). Allowing you to keep the hair out of your face, you can either pop half of your hair into a sleek pony, top knot bun, or braids to prevent the windswept look. Perfect!

SILK SCARVES

You’ve been living under a rock if you haven’t noticed the scarf trend that’s recently emerged. From your favourite celebs, to the girls at the office, everyone’s rocking them – and it’s not hard to see why. Available in a range of styles, patterns and colours, scarves are versatile and add an element of chic to any look. Whether you want to rock a low, loose bun, or some killer braids, weave a silk scarf through your hair and you’re done.

MIDDLE-PART BRAIDS

Quick and easy, middle-part braids are the go-to festival look for those who don’t want to mess around with glitter or scarves. Simply yet chic, you can either do one or two middle-part braids, and leave the rest of your hair straight and polished, or add a little bit of texture with messy, beachy waves. Just make sure you keep pulling each section of your braid tightly as you go to ensure a sharp, clean look!
